MANGAN, September, 11: A district level meeting was held at DAC conference Hall on September 11th, on operational guidelines on Rural sports competition under Rajiv Gandhi Khel Avhiyan (RGKA) 2014 North district level, operational for 9 sports events was detailed by Deputy director, East/North, Dr.RB Biswakarma, sports & youth affairs department. He also informed that under this scheme there are several projects for the development of play fields for rural sportsman development, block level sports complex and as per MGNREGA guidelines Rs.1.60 crore will be provided for one GVK level and has to sort out the proper areas for development, the mission mode which RGKA replaces PYKKA from henceforth. Cheques for operation of RGKA scheme were also handed over & problems were also shared by zilla panchayat. The programme wa s graced by North district zilla adhyaksha, Ms. Anguli Lepcha, DM(N), T.N Kazi as chairman, RGKA. Also presents were Deputy director, sports& youth affairs, Dr.RB Biswakarma, ADs of different GVK, MNP councilors and zilla panchayats.
