MANILA -- The wheeling and dealing for Globalport Batang Pier is not yet over. Just less than two days before the Sultan 900 Incorporated franchise drafted marquee amateurs Terrence Romeo, RR Garcia, Isaac Holstein and Nico Salva, team owner Mikee Romero bared that they just entered another transaction. “My rebuilding for this conference is not yet complete. Two more players are coming in to fill in some of the team’s void,” said Romero. The outspoken team owner bared that he has already signed former NCAA MVP Leo Najorda, which they got after trading their 2016 second round pick to San Mig Coffee Mixers. “He (Najorda) will fill our need for a reliable shooter in the three position,” Romero declared. The 26th richest Filipino according to the Forbes’ list, said there will be two more key pieces he is working on, which may be finalized in the coming days. “I can’t talk yet. Basta stand by. I am making this team formidable. You can count on that,” he said with a smile. The Najorda trade papers are said to be on its way now to the PBA Commissioner’s office in Libis, Quezon City. solarsportsdesk.ph/bk/bknews/2013/11/05/pba-trade-globalport-set-to-acquire-najorda-from-san-mig-coffee-for-future-draft-pick -Miss J
