MANILA -- Tropical Storm Domeng entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) Sunday evening, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said. In an interview over dzMM, PAGASA forecaster Alvin Pura said Domeng entered PAR at around 7:30 p.m. The state weather bureau said the center of Domeng was last spotted at 1,020 kilometers east of General Santos City. It is packing maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. Domeng is moving northwestward at a speed of 20 kph. While Domeng is still moving over the sea, it is expected to bring clouds over Visayas and Mindanao by Monday, Pura said. In its latest update, PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rainfall will prevail over Mindanao, Cagayan Valley and the eastern and central portions of Visayas. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers, especially at night, PAGASA said. -- dzMM
