MANILA, Philippines - Senate President Franklin Drilon on Tuesday acknowledged that he had met Janet Lim-Napoles "less than 10 times" in social gatherings, including at a dinner inside the Heritage Park in Taguig City, but stressed that they had crossed paths fleetingly and strictly in the context of social gatherings. In a press conference, Drilon said "there is a clear effort to implicate (him) as guilty by association" to the controversial businesswoman at the center of the P10-billion pork barrel scam. "Let me make it very clear that none of my PDAF allocations was ever assigned or given to any project of this Napoles or any of her NGOs," the Senate President said. "You can go through the DBM and COA websites and you can go through it with a fine comb and you will not see a single peso of my PDAF being assigned to any of the Napoles NGOs."
