MANILA, Philippines (2nd UPDATE) – Local airlines announced the cancellation of some flights scheduled for Saturday, November 9 until Monday, November 11 as super typhoon Yolanda (international codename Haiyan) continued to batter the Philippines. Yolanda is the worlds most powerful weather disturbance this year. The typhoon is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility around 2 pm Saturday. The airlines said passengers of the cancelled flights may rebook their seats within 30 days from the original flight date.
