MANILA, Philippines – Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose will return to the country to headline the three-day D Rose Tour in September. Adidas Basketball will be bringing the 2011 NBA MVP in Manila from Sept. 14-16 to engage his fans in a once-in- a-lifetime opportunity. This will mark the only second time that Rose will visit the country since playing in a pair of exhibition games at the Smart Araneta Coliseum during the NBA lockout season in 2011. During the tour, Rose will engage his fans through a variety of activities, such as a basketball competition, an exclusive party, meet & greet opportunities and social media campaigns. He will also sport the D Rose 773, which includes signature details and Crazyquick technology to help make Derrick quicker on the court. The winning teams from the Adidas regional 3-on-3 basketball tournaments, which are being organized in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand for high school students, will get the chance to meet and play in front of D Rose in Manila. A retail promotion across Southeast Asia markets will also run from July to August, giving Adidas customers a chance to win All-Access VIP passes to the D Rose Tour activities in Manila. The D-Rose Manila Tour is part of Adidas’ most expensive and large- scale effort to connect their partner athletes with fans, grow the game and showcase the latest from Adidas Basketball.
