MANILA – A senator allegedly spent some $1,000 (over P44,000) worth of cognac in one of his hotel visits in the United States several years ago, an actress said. In an interview with dzMM, musician Monet Silvestre, quoting actress Giselle Töngi, said a senator bought three shots of Louis XIII de Rémy Martin cognac in one of their dinner meetings in a hotel in Los Angeles, California some three to four years ago. Each shot of cognac was priced at $350.
