MANY INDIVIDUALS ! ONE NAME ! SARADA PARK RESIDENT ! OUR GRATITUDE TO OUR MUNICIPALITY AS WELL AS GREEN FIELD CITY ! A few years ago at the north-east side of Sarada Park there was a large vacant land. Rain water of Sarada Park could be passed away easily. Now, at the north-east side of Sarada Park there is the largest Housing Complex of Maheshtala named as Green Field City. So, rain water of Sarada Park can not pass from there unless the same is pumped out, which is a temporary solution only. Sarada Park Welfare Society Executives alongwith our Councillor and other residents had an urgent meeting with the Management of Green Field City. It was a memorable meeting, because varieties of personalities irrespective of their social positions united together to achieve the same goal, which can be shortly termed as “ Development”. We always welcome and bow down our heads to-wards this type of activities. We are thankful to know that Green Field City Management have already been trying hard to pump out our accumulated water, but the violent gusty thunder-shower, which is thrusting us time to time is beyond human control. However, we believe that Green Field City Management will please continue their effort as far as practicable for our safety. Further, we are grateful to the Management of Green Field City as they kindly realized our miserable condition and assured us that they may also cater to our development, specially for the permanent drainage system, as we are their attached neighbouring locality. Our Society Executives may kindly keep close contacts with them, because G/F/C Management may not wait for a long time for Under Ground Drainage System and till then they may please develop such a drainage system from which the rain water of Sarada Park may also pass out rapidly so that water can not be accumulated either in Sarada Park or in Green Field City in future. At last but not the least, we, the residents of Sarada Park, should take a vow to assist Sarada Park Welfare Society by doing something constructive whenever and whatever possible and keeping watch on the progress for the development. Since last twenty five years we have been carrying our dream that Sarada Park will be the most beautiful residential place in south-west suburban Kolkata so far as development, education and culture are concerned, because we have a high quality of human resource in Sarada Park. We had a continuous struggle for this. Many of us had to suffer from strong disease and ultimately died. Some of us are still suffering and may die shortly. But Residents of Sarada Park will never die ! Successors will always carry the baton of victory ! So, if all the residents of Sarada Park show their urge for development and to assist our Society for keeping close contact with Municipality as well as the Management of Green Field City then our dream will definitely come true very soon.
