When his back wore down and he could no longer carry people, he was thrown out like trash into a ravine to die. He was found by animal control and because he was old, lame, emaciated and depressed, was scheduled for euthanasia. We went to rescue another horse, Andrew, but when we found out about Patrick, brought him home with us as well. He is gaining weight slowly and with chiropractic and massage therapy he is feeling better and stronger. Patrick is kind and gentle, his eyes shining with more hope and more joy everyday! We will give him a dignified retirement and he will be part of our family for the rest of his life!
