**MARCH 2014 MELTON MOWBRAY SKATE PARK PROJECT UPDATE** - As most of you are aware deconstruction of the ramps no longer safe to use is well under way and weather permitting will be completed by the end of this week (Sunday 9th March) All the temporary fencing will be removed & the ground under the ramps that have been removed will be cleaned and repaired. - In a couple of weeks a grind rail will be installed in the flat area where ramps have been removed from. - A committee has now been elected and will be the driving force behind the project for the new skate park - Over the next few weeks we will see some initial designs for the new park - The council has earmarked a substantial amount of money to go towards the project with a further £50,000 aimed to be raise through fundraising - The new park will be concrete & roughly the same sized area as the current set up - Building for the new park could begin as early as June Any questions dont hesitate to ask in the comments below & we will keep you updated as the project moves forward.
