From Snow to Sand – A Fat Bike Expedition Across the Namib Desert Join Bill Fleming of 9:ZERO:7 Bikes as he describes his recent fat bike journey across the dunes of the remote Namib Desert and Skeleton Coast of Namibia. Bill travelled from Anchorage to Africa this summer and completed the expedition over six days. Bill will present a 45-minute slide show revealing the unique scenery of this amazing and distant land while discussing the humorous trials and tribulations of planning and executing a fat bike expedition in a faraway country. A general discussion of the trip will be followed by a question and answer session. About Bill Bill Fleming is an owner of 9:ZERO:7 Fat Bikes, as well as Chain Reaction Cycles and the Trek Bicycle Store of Anchorage. He has completed many winter endurance fat bike events, including the Iditarod Trail Invitational race multiple times. In addition to fat biking, Bill enjoys finishing mid-pack in mountain, road, and cyclocross races.
