MARQUEZ vs ALVARADO - well again, this was a no-brainer in my book. Alvarado could always end a fight w/one punch and did knock down Marquez one time in this bout, but he never really hurt Marquez. It was a chess master, Marquez, fighting a work-in-progress, Alvarado. It was great experience for Alvarado. Really, the only advantage Alvarado had over Marquez was reach/height & age. Age appeared to be a non-factor. At 40 Marquez had the faster hands & the faster reflexes (experience) and Marquez was able to out-box Alvarado from the outside forcing Alvarado to the inside where he had a better chance to land a KO punch.
