MARTIN ELECHI IS A DISGRACE AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN. During 1966-1970, he was with his peoples enemies; in other words, he was a saboteur. For over 7 and a half years, he ran Ebonyi like a police state and slave colony, killing initiative in Ebonyi people. To properly imprison and control his people, this devious and manipulative old man indoctrinated his people into believing that Ebonyi was no longer part of the Igbo race. Naturally, by the time of 2015 governorship primary, this perhaps 90 year-old selfish man had started seeing himself as a God whose word was law. He did not know that most Ebonyi people had merely been tolerating his irritations and excesses - because of his old age. So, even in his own PDP, delegates he had thought were in his pocket voted overwhelmingly against his unpopular candidate (former Minister of Health) in favour of his popular deputy governor who had served him loyally and dutifully all these years. Now, the very old man who nurses the ambition of going into retirement in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (where he would be a sleeping bench-warmer sabotaging Ebonyi and Igbo interests) is threatening decampment to another party. PDP should call the bluff of this worthless senile old man. He is a paper political tiger with no electoral value. But for fellow saboteurs (the Asikas) and Igbo-saboteur-loving Obasanjo who imposed him on Sam Egwus PDP and Ebonyi State, Elechi would never have become governor in the first place. We implore Ebonyi voters to not only elect the current deputy governor but to also ensure that Elechi gets retired to his village, not to the Senate. The incoming governor should also strip greedy and selfish old man of the billions of naira he stole from the good people of Ebonyi State. if he dies of heart attack as a result, the Obasanjos and Asikas of this world would no doubt go and bury him - as they did Ajie Ukpabi.
