MARTIN PLACE - LATEST ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT PLANS FOR TUESDAY 16 DECEMBER: Road closures remain in place in the Sydney CBD as a police operation continues at Martin Place. Public transport will mostly run as normal tomorrow morning but minor changes to some buses and trains are expected as a result of the current road closures in the city. This means: ** Trains on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line will not stop at Martin Place. ** Bus routes 422, 423, 426 and 428 to Newtown will travel via George Street instead of Castlereagh Street. ** All eastern suburbs bus services that normally start from Circular Quay including Castlereagh Street services will start from St James Station in Elizabeth Street. ** Citybound express services that operate via the Eastern Distributor will exit the Eastern Distributor at William Street before travelling along College Street, St James Road and Elizabeth Street to Liverpool Street. ** Route 200 services travelling towards to North Sydney will divert away from College Street via Park Street, Druitt Street, Clarence Street and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. ** Route 200 services travelling towards Bondi Junction via the Sydney Harbour Bridge will divert away from Macquarie Street via York Street, Druitt Street and Park Street. ** CDC bus routes 620, 650 and 642 that operate via the Cahill Expressway will divert away from Bridge Street via Grosvenor Street, George Street and Market Street. ** Road closures remain in place in the Sydney CBD including sections of Elizabeth Street and Macquarie Street. Heavy traffic may be experienced as a result of the closures so passengers and motorists are advised to allow additional travel time. As this is an ongoing incident and the situation may change rapidly passengers should check livetraffic and transportnsw.info for the latest information before they begin their journey.
