MASS INTENIONS AND FOR PRIVATE PRAYER We have all agreed as a parish to pray for certain intentions on certain days - so we are all singing from the same hymn sheet so to speak :(( sorry!) Each day has a seasonal character which might help us pray in a particular way or emphasising certain themes. And then a specific focus is given for every day of the week: SUNDAY [Easter themes] “Alleluia, Christ is Risen!” PRAY For the Joy and Power of the risen Lord: — and for the Parish MONDAY [Pentecost themes] “The Love of God has been poured into our hearts by His Spirit living in us!” PRAY For the Love of God: — and for family, friends and neighbours TUESDAY [Advent themes] “Thy Kingdom Come, thy Will be done!” PRAY For Hope: — Christian Unity and inter-faith harmony WEDNESDAY [Christmas themes] “And the Word was made flesh” PRAY For Peace and Justice: — our Nation and the needs of the world THURSDAY [Epiphany themes] “A light to lighten the Gentiles” PRAY For holiness: — for the mission of the Church and vocations FRIDAY [Lenten themes] “With the Lord there is mercy and plenteous redemption” PRAY For God’s Mercy: — for the sick; the faithful departed, benefactors SATURDAY [Our Lady] “Let it be to me according to thy Word” PRAY For Faith: — all makers and creators; mothers and children
