MASSIVE EUTH LIST - HELP NEEDED THIS WEEKEND! Everyone, the holidays have officially ended in Whiteville. We have a LOT of work to do this weekend as the manager has given us a euth list with 16 dogs on it (see below). Before anyone flies into a rage, please remember that these dogs have been held longer than 15 days and, in fact, some have been here a month, so we really cannot blame the manager for saying they need out; they have been overlooked for too long. The following dogs MUST have commitments to leave the shelter Monday, per the manager: K37, Maggie, $315 pledged - #1 on the list! K13 Lucy, $300 pledged. May have rescue and would need a ride to Charlotte if so. K16, Roscoe, $200 pledged - needs help! K31, Petey, Peanut, and Pattie. $900 total pledged. May have rescue if we can find a long-term foster for Petey. K15, Arthur, just $135 pledged! K14, Cody, $200 pledged K34, Howie, just $130 pledged! K21, Banner, $195 pledged K33, Spencer, $196 pledged K26, Whiskey, $160 pledged K25, Asher, just $71 pledged! K39, Darcy and Roxie, $116 total pledged K27, Monty, $126 pledged We need help getting everyone fully funded, at least $300 per dog, to assist nonprofit rescues with the cost of vetting, boarding for quarantine and transport. No, the rescues do NOT pull dogs because of funds, but they are inundated with pleas for help for deserving dogs across the country. Helping the rescues who are loyal to us with donations is, quite honestly, the least I think we can do to thank them. Please help share everyone this weekend - well post them to the timeline throughout. If you can foster, locally or otherwise, we need you! If you have any questions, please dont post them on threads where we cannot see them; please email us at columbuscountydogs@gmail and/or pm this page, and well get you the best info we can. Please note that, while this is an urgent plea, this does not mean the requirements to adopt or rescue will be relaxed; we want these dogs out of here, of course, but only when we are assured they are going to people who can and will fully care for them. I apologize in advance if this offends anyone, but I will be deleting comments asking us to reduce adoption or vetting fees (which we dont control but do support) or just let the dogs go to someone wholl love them for free. In 2015, were cutting the BS and getting down to what we all need to be here to do (more on this later). Thank you - lets please start this year off with a miracle!
