MATC Public Safety has been receiving increased reports of missing - TopicsExpress

MATC Public Safety has been receiving increased reports of missing cell phones, tablets and laptops. Most of these reports involve electronic devices that have been left unattended. We want to take this opportunity to share some important safety tips for protecting your property while on campus. Never leave property unattended in classrooms, corridors, restrooms, cafeterias, libraries, study areas, etc. This includes leaving your property at a table with a group of friends who might inadvertently walk away, leaving your property behind. Mark all property with an identifying mark. Public Safetys Operation ID program offers the use of engravers to mark your electronic items. Visit the Public Safety office at any campus. Consider using free protection apps on your cell phones and tablets. These apps can be used to locate missing devices or to cause a device to sound an alarm when it is picked up or moved. Always contact Public Safety immediately if your property is missing, or if you see any suspicious activity, at 414-297-6200.
