(*)... MATTERS PERTAINING TO FASTING ... (*) KAFFARAH Kaffarah is a penalty imposed for breaking a Ramadhaan fast deliberately. The Kaffarah for saum will apply in the following sequence. • To free a slave • To keep fast for sixty days continuously without missing days in between (if one is missed between the count of 60 then the person will have to start again) • (A) To feed two meals to sixty people • (B-) To feed one poor person two meals for sixty days • (C) Or to give the equivalent of two meals to sixty people or the equivalent in wheat or any grain or cash.
