MATTHEW 24:1-51 NASB vs.3-6. As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and the end of the age? And Jesus answered and said to them, See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ, and will mislead many. You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. We as saints are to be PROPHETS of GOD. We are to portray in our own lives what GODs purpose is for the human race. The events of our day POINT toward an unparalleled catastrophe which MARKS the sudden coming of the Lord JESUS and a NEW beginning of time, KNOWN as the kingdom of GOD visibly ESTABLISHED here on earth. GODs people are to be messengers of that new age!!! By contrast, the sin of this age has PECULIAR and DISTINCT characteristics. It is true that we STILL have the sins of all the other ages. But the dominating sin of our age is IMITATING the HOLY SPIRIT: first, by attempting to IMPOSE an organized interpretation upon the Gospel; second, by INSISTING that each individuals responsibility is based upon that interpretation; and third, by boasting about the infallible certainty of having the mind of GOD. DONT BE DECEIVED!!! There are only TWO infallible authorities in interpreting GODs will. First is the written Holy Scriptures (Even JESUS used them to defeat Satans attack on Him in the wilderness), and second, the witness of the HOLY SPIRIT, who, being GOD, knows the mind of Father GOD, and bears witness with the written Word. Remember, Peter wrote in 2 Peter 1:20-21, NO prophecy is of private interpretation...GLORY HALLELUJAH!!! Lord GOD, in the mighty name of JESUS, deliver us from ever attempting to usurp the ministry of the HOLY SPIRIT and the truth of the written Word...AMEN. ...leroy 8-)
