MAVS HISTORICAL FACT: Over the years people have heard me call many offensive sets from the sidelines, but none is more familiar than when Ive called T-FLAT! Like the call 14, which I called many games for #22-DeRon Rutledge, the T-Flat Set became known as a Primary Call or Set I would call in Game Winning Situations. I have made this call for many outstanding players over the years. Nigel Lloyd, Derrick Williams, Dave Whitney, Jr., Lorenzo Duncan, Tommy Gunn, Jabari Johnson, Tony Hooper, Chris Hagan to name a few, but No One is more synonyms with T-FLAT than Anthony Lumpkin. I have coached bigger guards during my career, but I never coached a quicker one. Lump was the best ever in this set! He could get to the basket and if he got in the lane area he could lift up over big men and score on his patented runner in the lane. He made T-FLAT quite a weapon indeed!!!! It was unstoppable with Lumpkin in his Prime! I have a Portrait hanging in the living room of my home called T-FLAT, for it was such a powerful weapon for my teams offensively over the years! I may run T-FLAT in the future for other players, but I can assure you when its called in whatever game or situation the measuring rod for Success will be #3-Anthony Lumpkin when it come to measuring continual Success off this Set.
