MAX (A0976220) ****MISUNDERSTOOD AND NERVOUS GUY LOOKING FOR LOVE**** This is Max, a 3 year old Pit Bull Mix. Max is not having a good day, or week. See Max was brought into the shelter as a stray recently and has no idea what is going on. I have a feeling Max has been taking care of himself for a long while because Max is in survival mode. He is nervous around people before he gets to know them, it takes a bit of coaxing, but once he gains your trust, Max eases up. Because he has been a loner for probably most of his life, Max does not know how to do the things normal, everyday dogs do: play with toys, run around the yard investigating every little thing, chase birds or squirrels. Max won’t even climb on your lap to give kisses. What he does do is shot down and try and survive. My heart breaks for Max, because I know, in a secure, friendly environment, Max would not be like this. With people he can trust, Max would be a great guy. He tries so desperately to try and give affection, he is just not sure who to trust. Max needs a friend tonight, someone who understands him, will have patience to help him out of survival mode. Truthfully, Max has a slim chance getting out of the shelter in the state he is in. they want him dead. Only you can change that. Start contacting rescues now, you are his last shot.
