MAY 15, 2014 9 I have thought deeply about all that goes on here in the world, where people have the power to hurt each other. 10 I have seen wicked people buried with honor. How strange that they were the very ones who frequented the Temple and are praised in the very city where they committed their crimes! 11 When a crime is not punished, people feel it is safe to do wrong. 12 But even though a person sins a hundred times and still lives a long time, I know that those who fear God will be better off. 13 The wicked will never live long, good lives, for they do not fear God. Their days will never grow long like the evening shadows. 14 And this is not all that is meaningless in our world. In this life, good people are often treated as though they were wicked, and wicked people are often treated as though they were good. This is so meaningless! 15 So I recommend having fun, because there is nothing better for people to do in this world than to eat, drink, and enjoy life. That way they will experience some happiness along with all the hard work God gives them. (From the Book of Ecclesiastes, Chapter 8). I have known folks in my lifetime that lived their lives exactly the way that God would have them live it since the day they were old enough to understand what was happening in the world. I have also known many folks that tend to stray from the path for the earlier years of their life and then are “born again” and start over once they are saved. These folks too walk the straight and narrow for the remainder of their days. Then there are folks that are wicked and have no desire to change. They remain that way for the balance of their days. I wonder why, AND have been asking myself this question a lot lately, God allows tragedy to befall those that are his advocates. It seems so unfair. Then I question, even further, why the wicked are allowed to prosper. It is all very confusing to me. I will continue to trust in HIS will. I have heard Dr. Charles Stanley talk about prayer and that when we pray (if our prayers are within God’s will) it will be answered. Once again, Thy Will, Not My Will. It is very painful for those of us left behind sometimes. “God is great, but sometimes life ain’t good, and when I pray, it doesn’t always turn out like I think it should, but I do it anyway” (Martina McBride, from the song Anyway.) There is only one King and only one Judge. God loves everybody. IN LOVING MEMORY OF JACOB TYLER SPRINKLE. Please pray for the families of ALL of those that have lost loved ones so recently. It seems like there have been so many and so many young folks at that. Those of us that are left behind know that our loved ones reside with Almighty God and share paradise with Jesus. Our hearts are still heavy for ourselves in their absence. Someday we’ll all be together again with no more pain, sickness or suffering. What a glorious day it will be. Betty Hines Crusenberry still needing prayers. Carrie Scheuer needing quick recovery prayers. David Arnold is in need of prayers and Denise Edwards is needing many prayers (Both battling cancer). Reverend Don Woodward (Hospice at Holston Valley Medical Center). Please continue to pray for Tommy Leslie. He has received his new heart. The day before Mothers Day. Pray that he will continue to be blessed and that his body will accept the new heart as his own. We want to keep on asking God for protection and health for those that have received their transplants and gone home healthy with their parents. We ask for Gods protection for those children that have had surgeries to correct Congenital Heart Defects and have gone home healthy. Pray for the Nurses, Doctors and other Personnel at the hospitals that provide care for these and other critically ill children. Please Dear God comfort all of those that are waiting on organ transplants OF ANY KIND and give them comfort that their blessing will come soon. Others in need of prayer, Logan Hullette (possible torn ligaments in shoulder), Sundae Grace (Her mother Amanda Langley has found out recently that Sundae may be deaf) so please pray hard that this young one is healed, Carleen Spivey (Breast Cancer), Frank Simme (The son of one of my Old Marine Corps Brothers – is having trials of his own that warrant substantial prayer), Denise Edwards (Cancer), Rebecca Riggs Hines (she is cancer free and we are praying for her to stay that way), Missy Davidson (prayers for continuing improvement and health), Ruth Davidson, Bill Haight ( pray for continuing health and good reports), Kenny Ingle, Tammy Ingle, and Family. Pray for Charlie Holt he is the dad of one of Jacobs favorite nurses. He is waiting on a liver transplant. Continue to pray for Barry Britton (ALS), Tim Walters (Needs a Kidney), Scott Walden (Needs a liver), Joe Price (On Dialysis), Shirley Brown (Back pain), Claudia Lee (Stroke), Debbie Hine Pierle (Liver and Pancreas), Reagan Reece (Needs heart/lung transplant), Lillie Davis (Battling Cancer), Bob Hines, Allen Culbertson, Charles Jones, Linda Ewing, Garney and Ophelia Ely, Gladys Cridlin, Louise Russell’s son, Linda Maness, Tamara Williams (Battling Cancer) and all of their families. Many prayers please. IF YOU ARE READING THIS, YOU ARE PART OF THE RESISTANCE AGAINST SATAN. Much Christian Love and Prayers to All, Rick
