MAYBE YOUVE BEEN WONDERING WHERE IVE BEEN, OR MAYBE NOT! I came to a natural finish with the postings on colorants for the time being. I was very happy with the responses from my readers. There is another half of me that is all about gardens, particularly the garden that Ive been developing as a a work of art for 37 years. It is a 2.5 acre garden that surrounds the studios and gallery of my wife, Judi Dyelle and myself. It borrows heavily from the five basic Japanese garden styles, is the product of someone who started serious gardening in England as a late teenager, and uses a large amount of native Canadian plants along with choice plants from around the world. I usually refer to it as ANGLOJAPANADIAN in style. People have been asking me to write a book about the garden and gardening for many years. Im happy to say that I am now about to write that book as an ebook. I will have to cut back my facebook postings to do the book, but I plan to at least do the weekend garden sharing post, and whatever else I have time for. The book is already underway from previous articles and years of photos are currently being sorted by Judi and my older daughter, Karen. I dont yet have a timeframe for publication, but it is a high priority in my life right now. I will keep you informed. We have recently given - for a fee - all my ceramic archival research material to the Library at the University of Victoria, B.C. CANADA. Once it is all sorted and properly inventoried the research material will be available for people to research and continue in the direction of my 60 years of work. I cant give a date for this availability, but will keep you informed. Meanwhile, back at the woodshed, I will try to keep you amused and informed.
