MAYOR BLOG!: Home from meeting our new grandson and anxious to get some new projects started. The Old H Highway project has begun, with Triple K, a local company doing the contract work. Bear with us as we complete this long needed improvement. I have been working with Signs in Time this week to prepare our second City welcome sign, which will be placed on Ichord Ave, as you exit the Interstate. We hope to have this built by the fall. Next week, the Park Board will be meeting to discuss the building of a park stage for the Roubidoux Park area. This also, is a much needed addition to our park. We need a central location for our festivals and events. Ireland Architects have designed several options for us to discuss and our plans are to have this ready to build in the coming year. I look forward to welcoming the Cherokee Bike Riders next week to Laughlin Park, as they retrace the infamous Trail of Tears. Watch our page for the exact time of their arrival.
