MBALA WOMAN DELIVERS ABNORMAL FIGURE A 26 year old woman of Ndundundu village of Masamba area in Mbala district has given birth to an abnormal figure looking like a horn of a cow tied with some copper wires and wrapped in a piece of cloth. The incident has stunned and caused panic in people of Masamba community describing it as an effigy. The named woman delivered at home at 21 : 00 hours on Wednesday and was rushed to Mbala general hospital for observation. Officials from Mbala medical office who rushed the woman from Masamba rural centre described the condition of the woman as stable and out of danger. The officials said the woman was taken to general hospital for medical examinations because the placenta had not come out after delivery. And speaking on her hospital bed, the woman said that was her fourth pregnancy which was only four month old at the time of delivery. But in a dramatic turn of event the father has demanded that the effigy be taken back to him after conducting examinations by the doctor. By press time the abnormal child was not yet examined by the doctor who was doing his rounds in the wards.
