MBMC & Aligarh Movement Welcomed Bharat Ratna To Malviya & Vajpayee Aligarh , 24 December : The Aligarh Movement monthly magazine and the Millat Bedari Muhim Committee ( MBMC ) have jointly welcomed the decision of the Indian government to award Bharat Ratna to founder of Benaras Hindu University , Madan Mohan Malviya and former Prime Minioster and senior BJP leader Atal Behari Vajpayee . Welcoming the prospects of Bharat Ratna to be bestowed upon founder of Benaras Hindu University Madan Mohan Malviya and former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee , Secretary of MBMC & Chief Editor of Aligarh Movement monthly magazine Jasim Mohammad said that the achievements of Madan Mohan Malviya is before us in shape of the Benaras Hindu University . On the other hand former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee had governed the country during his tenure effectively . He said that Atal Behari Vajpayee is not only a secular face of the BJP but has given the nation momentum of progress and development . Elaborating on Madan Mohan Malviya , he said that Malviya had revolutionised the Indian education scene by founding BHU and had raised hopes among marginalised classes for education empowerment . Not only that he had contributed much in our independence struggle . Jasim Mohammad said that the Aligarh Movement magazine and the MBMC have jointly raised the demand of Bharat Ratna to Sir Syed Ahmad Khan also . He told that presently One crore signatures of citizen are being collected in favour of the demand of Bharat Ratna to Sir Syed which will be sent to the Prime Minister of India for consideration . He reminded that the contribution and achievements of Sir Syed are no less than any one in Indian nation building and so awarding Bharat Ratnma to him will be justified. Jasim Mohammad hoped that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will certainly consider awarding Bharat Ratna to Sir Syed Ahmad Khan which will be an example of our secularism and justice .
