MBTF WITH SOFTBALL PLAYERS – As part of my administrations initiative of developing the skills and talents of every young Dagupeño athlete, I recently visited Bonuan Boquig Elementary School to check the open field where the schools athletes practice. The boxstopper and goal of the softball team are in low condition, with the nets being heavily damaged. Players are also using old gloves and softballs, which are also few in number. After seeing the problem, I asked City Engineer Virginia Rosario to immediately repair the two boxstoppers, replacing the old nets with new ones. The field will also be rehabilitated and maintained for the players to have a suitable practice area. I am also committed to provide funding for additional equipment and training that is needed by our talented players. With the construction of the new multi-purpose covered court, the athletes wont have to play under the scorching heat of the sun or under the heavy downpour of rain. They will be protected from the elements and will be assured a conducive setting for all their sporting activities. (photos by Jojo Tamayo)
