ME: So I booked a flight but would like to switch it for the fallowing day. VirginAir: Ok we can totally do that for you but there will be a $75 Charge ME: OK but isnt a one way ticket from Las Vegas to LAX $70 total? VirginAir: Yes but the fee to transfer is $75 ME: So if I wanted to save like 10 bucks couldnt I just buy a new ticket? VirginAir: Well yes theoretically but there will be a $75 Cancellation fee if you cancel your original flight. ME: Its not Theoretically it Mathematics, What if I dont cancel it and just dont show up is there a fee? VirginAir: No there is no fee but you would lose the cost of the ticket you already paid. ME: Well wouldnt I lose that any way if I am not taking that flight. VirginAir: Yes but its good to let the Airlines know you are not coming so we can make the seat available fore some one else. ME: OK so let me get this straight I can just not show up for my original flight and suck it up and buy another ticket.. or I can Still not show up for my original flight and pay you $75 to cancel my orginal flight, lose the $70 from orignal ticket, then Pay another $70 for a new ticket and then your going to sell my old ticket for $70 to someone else? VirginAir: Correct #FML #ThatsRetarded #WhywouldIDoThat #ManOfTheRoad haha and this is why I like to drive across country.. The Joys of dealing with Airlines. All because I want to see Imelda May & The Delta Bombers on the 7th.. aww well it will be worth it. Jason Godwin Brandy Misner-Godwin
