MEC Maile to conduct walk-about in the Tshwane and Johannesburg Informal Trading Stalls 30 June 2014 Gauteng MEC for Economic Development, Lebogang Maile will conduct walkabouts in Tshwane and Johannesburg on Monday 30 June 2014. The walkabouts will take place against the backdrop of well-publicized discord in the informal sector, particularly amongst those operating in the City of Tshwane. The City of Tshwane’s MMC for Economic Development Subesh Pillay will accompany MEC Maile during the walkabout in Tshwane while Johannesburg MMC for Economic Development Ruby Mathang, MMC for Development Planning Ross Greef and MMC for Environment and MMC Infrastructure Services Tshidi Mfikoe will form part of the walkabout in Johannesburg. MEC Maile will utilize this opportunity to interact with informal traders on a range of challenges facing the sector.
