MECs Vadi and Xayiya to officially launch the innovative GoGauteng Application Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport Dr Ismail Vadi together with MEC for Gauteng Department of Economic Development, Mr Eric Xayiya will on Tuesday, 16 April 2014 officially launch the GoGauteng Application at Emoyeni Conference Centre, Johannesburg. Mobility, the developers of the “GoGauteng” mobile application was the 2nd prize winners in the mobile category of the Gauteng Accelerator Programme (GAP) innovation competition hosted by The Innovation Hub. The application will consist of information such as times and schedules on different modes of public transport that can be used in and around Gauteng, serving as an effective planning and directing instrument for public transport users. It will also include the stations and stops location and listing, operational times and data, announcements broadcasting as well as press releases issued. More details and demonstration on the application’s functionality will be shared at the event.
