MEDIA ALERT THE POWER OF GOOD GOES GLOBAL: UNITE4:GOOD AND USIN CELEBRATIONS JOIN FORCES TO PROMOTE REVOLUTIONARY NEW GLOBAL MOVEMENT FOR HUMANITY IN SOUTH ASIAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY AT WORLD’S FAIR MARINA IN QUEENS WHAT: unite4:good (unite4good.org) and USIN Celebrations have united to create awareness about a revolutionary new global movement for humanity. In an unprecedented and powerful demonstration of commitment for humanitarian values such as kindness, empathy, and respect, individuals from the South Asian American community, leaders from local non-profit organizations and non-governmental organizations serving that community, and elected and other public and community officials will join forces this Sunday, Nov. 17 to celebrate, embrace, and promote the goals of unite4:good. WHO: Notables expected to attend the program will be H.E. Ambassador Momen, of Bangladesh to the U.N., Congresswomen Carolyn Maloney and Grace Meng, Congressman Gregory Meeks, NY Assemblymen Bill Scarborough and David Weprin, Queens Borough President-Elect Melinda Katz, Amir Dossal, Chairman of the Global Partnership Forum, Akbar Poonwalla, Chairman of the Aga Khan Foundation for Northeast USA, Neal Modi, President of American Indian Association , Jake Gaiilin, Founder of Stars for Cars, Anthony Melikhov, founder of unite4:good along with fifty exemplary heads of non-profits. WHAT ELSE:Designed to create a worldwide environment of positivity, inspire giving, promote charitable engagement, compassion and empathy and foster a stronger sense of community, unite4:good (unite4good.org) is a revolutionary new global movement for humanity. The movement unites people, companies, media organizations, and non-profits committed to acts of kindness, utilizing new technologies, curricula, education, awareness events and empowering grants. Through the campaign, both global and local non-profits will be supported by increased activism, awareness and contributions, which will affect and benefit humanity on an international scale. The program on Sunday – beginning at 12 noon at 1 World’s Fair Marina in Flushing – is being developed by USIN Celebrations,(usincelebrations.org) a community organization co-founded by New York City District leaders Uma Sengupta and Roger Sen Gupta that provides educational services, supports the arts, and creates awareness for and about the South Asian American and surrounding communities.
