MEDIA BRIEFING - Monday 26/08/2013 MVA - SNOWY MOUNTAINS HIGHWAY - ADELONG At 6.30pm on Friday 23 August 2013 a white mitsubishi magna negotiating a sweeping right hand bend on the Snowy Mountains Highway at Mt Adrah lost control and began to slide sideways into the west bound lane. At this time a white toyota prado was approaching from the opposite direction. Both vehicles collided causing the prado to roll several times and come to rest in an upright position on an embankment. Ambulance attended and treated the occupants of both vehicles. The driver of the prado required attention for a minor head laceration, and was conveyed to Wagga Base Hospital for treatment. The roadway was blocked for a period, until both vehicles could be towed. It is anticipated that the driver of the magna, a 28 year old man from Wagga, will be issued with an infringement notice for negligent driving. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ARREST - COOTAMUNDRA A 27 year old Cootamundra man has been arrested in relation to a domestic violence incident that occurred on Sunday 25 August in Cootamundra. He was taken to Cootamundra Police Station where he was charged with malicious damage. He has been granted conditional bail to appear at Cootamundra Local Court on 02 September 2013. LOW RANGE PCA - GRENFELL About midnight on Sunday 25 August police stopped a motor vehicle on South Street, Grenfell. The driver of the vehicle underwent a breath test which proved positive. She was arrested and conveyed to Grenfell Police Station where a breath analysis returned a reading of 0.058. The 50 year old woman from Grenfell was issued a Court Attendance Notice for Drive with Low Range PCA and is to appear at Young Local Court on 17 September 2013. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ARREST - TUMUT A 38 year old woman from Tumut has been arrested in relation to a domestic violence incident that occurred on Saturday 24 August in Tumut. The woman was taken to Tumut Police Station where she was charged with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, Assault, Assault Police and Resist Police. She has been granted conditional bail to appear at Tumut Local Court on 09 September 2013.
