MEDIC ALERT BRACELET WARNING Watched an add for MEDIC ALERT bracelets on the weekend, WHAT A LOAD OF +++++ now as I have one of those along with heaps of other people, I was talking to ST Johns ambulance on Friday & asked what was the protocol if a person collapsed or had an accident, like did they read the bracelet before commencing treatment the shock reply was NO NOTHING TO DO WITH US, the hospital sorts that out, truly I was totally blown away by there response, so I tried to explain to them that people pay a lot of money to have the bracelet, so they can get the right kind of treatment, not our problem was the reply, all I could get out of them was we are trained to save lives (now if that isn’t tunnel vision what the hell is) so guess at the end of the day looks like we have all wasted our money on a misguided belief that it would help us in a time of need, as trained professionals wouldn’t you think a few seconds reading the tag could or would save a lot of time spent recuperating in hospital, from a reaction to a misgiven drug or even worse PEACE OF MIND MY ARSE
