MEDICINE AFTER DEATH Jesus deliberately allowed Lazarus to die - TopicsExpress

MEDICINE AFTER DEATH Jesus deliberately allowed Lazarus to die before he went and raised him from the dead. Is that not MEDICINE AFTER DEATH? He deliberately allowed Mary and Martha to lose the companionship of their only brother to death and bear the cost of his burial; he allowed them to weep in despair and waited until all their prayers had ceased. Deliberately, Jesus broke the tender hearts of those beautiful girls to pieces before he stepped in to save the situation. Haba, Jesu!!! The sisters’ prayers got to Jesus early enough, but he did not move until after two days. In fact, he waited for Lazarus to die. 1st PROVOCATION. And when he finally arrived and approached the grave, instead of apologizing for late coming, he put their faith to the test right in front of their brother’s grave. Under the shadow of that gloomy day, he still had time to test their faith. 2nd PROVOCATION. Mary and Martha had to pass the test of faith before they could see Lazarus again. “Take away the stone,” Jesus commanded. Martha hesitated and got the instant reply, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe, you would see the glory of God?” (John 11:39 & 40) When both your heart and hope have failed you and you have cried yourself to stupor, would you still be able to summon that mustard faith needed to take a step and do whatever God tells you to do? His mother, Virgin Mary, said to the servants at the wedding feast, “Whatever he says to you, do it.” (John 2:5) But that was after the wine had finished and the wedding was without wine. Is that not MEDICINE AFTER DEATH? He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” (Luke 5:4) But that was after Simon and his partners, James and John, had toiled all night and caught nothing. Is that also not MEDICINE AFTER DEATH? Is it not? Jesus shows up only after the damage has been done. Yes, he shows up to resurrect, to restore, to renew, to revive, and ultimately to redeem.
