MEDITATION ON PSALM 1 Lord, I would not walk with the ungodly for I know a single step will start me on the way of the seat of the scornful. Keep me walking with you Lord, for it is you and you alone in who I delight. Your holy law is my meat by day and my rest by night. Plant me firmly, Lord, by your Crystal clear River of Life, that I might become a tree which gives shade to the weary and fruit to the hungry. Keep my roots drinking deeply from the River. for I would not have my leaves wither in the noonday sun. Preserve me from drying up and blowing away in the hot, wild wind with the chaff of the ungodly. Drive me not away and bring me not into judgment. Grant that the congregation of the righteous be my home...my eternal home. Amen.
