MEET A CHOREOGRAPHER Summer Choreography Salon August 8th Chelsea Henderson Chelsea Henderson hails from the greater Birmingham area, and has trained in numerous styles for the past 19 years. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama, with a B.S. in psychology and dance. During her collegiate career, she was a member of Alabama Repertory Dance Theater, Alabama’s pre-professional company in residence, and both choreographed and performed with Dance Alabama! and A Dance Collection. Chelsea also served as a counselor for the American Ballet Theater summer intensive for two seasons and was honored with the Outstanding Senior Award by the University of Alabama’s Department of Theater and Dance. Additionally, she received funding for her education from scholarships such as the Dance Gift Scholarship, American Ballet Theater Summer Scholarship, and Gage Bush Englund Dance Scholarship. Chelsea is currently pursuing her master’s degree in criminal justice at the University of Alabama.
