MEET OUR NEXT HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY MEMBER Hon Alagbada Adeniran Aspiring for:House of Assembly(Ise/Orun constituency chapter-Ekiti State) Political Affiliation:People Democratic party(PDP) WHAT I PLAN TO ACHIEVE AS CANDIDATE........ My desire to serve in the House of Assembly is a product of my passion to contribute to the development of Ise/Orun LGA,Ekiti State and Nigeria at large through people-oriented legislation and effective oversight functions. I also hope to provide quality and robust representation for the people in my constituency. 2. OVERSIGHT FUNCTION It’s a common knowledge that one of the reasons Nigeria is still grappling with under-development is not the paucity of laws and policy that will catalyze development but rather the political will and capacity to implement the laws. A good example is the billions of naira that get appropriated annually with little or nothing to show for it. The same applies to numerous laws enacted by the State assembly. As a member of the House of Assembly, I will work with my colleagues to carry out effective monitoring of MDAs to ensure legislations (including budget) enacted are properly implemented and enforced.
