MEET TAVON MCDOWELL My name is Tavon McDowell. I’m a student at Isothermal Community College majoring in Advertising & Graphic Design, which is something I have been interested in ever since childhood. When I first arrived, I was focused solely on graphic design, and my skills using Adobe Creative Suite software have evolved greatly. My style tends to integrate conceptual journalism and surrealism. However, I have also discovered a passion for photography, and my primary focus now is on light painting photography and digital manipulation of my original photos. Currently, I have begun my own online business, XPLORE, where I sell photography and create posters for bands and individual music artists. I have won awards for my photography in college shows here and am also selling photo originals through several local galleries. After graduation, I plan on transferring to a 4-year university and look forward to using my graphic design, advertising, and photography skills to create art for the world, especially for the causes of global awareness and human rights.
