MEET THE BAND - We would like for you to get to know each member of Led Zepagain by telling you a little about their musical background as well as some other fun facts that you may not know. This week, we are profiling the bass half of our rhythm section. Jim Wootten - Bass, Keys, Mandolin, 12 String Guitar and Bass Pedals. After having enrolled in a beginning instruments during his sophomore year, Jim joined his first band 2 months later, which he said was the best thing he could have ever done stating, It forced me to become competent on the instrument a lot quicker than if I had progressed at my own pace. I first became aware of Led Zeppelin when I heard Stairway to Heaven for the first time, I thought it was an incredible song, but that wasnt the track that really drew me in. One morning, I recall my sister playing the Physical Graffiti album after having just purchased it the day before. She dropped the needle down and when I heard the song Kashmir, it absolutely blew my mind, it was unlike any other rock and roll song that I had ever heard. At that point he bought the Led Zeppelin Complete songbook and absolutely immersed himself in trying to learn their entire catalog.
