MEET THE CAST OF GODSPELL - LEVI FRAZIER (COMPANY) Levi Donald Read Frazier (Company) – Levi lives in Clarinda, Iowa, where he is a student at Clarinda High School. Levi will be a sophomore next year. Levi’s parents are Tish and Jared Frazier, his siblings are: Daniel, Katie and Elizabeth Bates and Lindsay Frazier (all older). Levi’s first production was when he was six years old and a kindergartener at Clarinda Lutheran School where he was a lamb and chorus member in the Spring Musical production of Celeste Clydesdale’s KING OF THE JUNGLE. Levi likes theater because he watched his older siblings be involved in school musicals and he always enjoyed the music and dancing and later he appreciated the acting and message. Levi’s eldest sister especially inspired him with her enthusiasm and vocal coaching for him when he was a toddler. When Levi was enrolled in Clarinda Lutheran School he always looked forward to the Spring Musical. When Levi came to the high school this past year he landed in Mr. Balster’s directed study first trimester and instantly Mrs. Balster grew on Levi. Levi knew he was going to enjoy Cardinal Theatre and he, along with THE ODD COUPLE and THE THREE MUSKETEERS, as only reaffirmed his desire to go into theatre professional, as has his new wonderful production family of GODSPELL. Levi couldn’t possibly name a favorite role. Levi’s first acting musical was THE OLD TESTAMENAT FAST FORWARD in which he played Joseph (without the Technicolor Dreamcoat, but a coat nonetheless) and the prophet Samuel, so that will always hold a special value to Levi; but, he supposes that it would be THE THREE MUSKETEERS and his recent role of King Louis XII of France. The cast was great to work with; watching the sword-play unfold was brilliant. Levi says that the character was so much fun to play and having Mr. Balster as a director and coach was an experience he hopes and can look forward to experiencing again! It was also Levi’s first “real” full length play as well as his first play acting under Mr. Balster and in Cardinal Theatre. Levi eventually would like to play the role of the amazing Dean Adkins on KMA, but unfortunately that position is occupied by a man who will never be topped, so he won’t even try. In all seriousness, Levi would like to play Joseph in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, it was one of the first Broadway musicals he ever say and Levi’s dad played Joseph in Griswold High School’s production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit. Levi would also like to play either Max or Leo in THE PRODUCERS and Javert in LEW MISERABLES, as mainstream as that is. Also – Olaf when FROZEN finally comes to Broadway! Levi states that the Arts have influenced his life by, “The arts have influenced my life by giving me passion, dreams, purpose, and they themselves—music, art, and fantasy worlds come to life with theatre. I’ve never really been athletic or cared too much for sports, except football (soccer) and rugby, yeah I know, call me a loyalist. I suppose I’m intelligent but only enough to get my A’s or A-‘s and be happy, but I’ve always loved the arts and found a taking to them from a young age. I’ve been singing since before I could write and was playing piano shortly after I learnt how to read and write fluently, and continue to do so. When I got up into grade school, the other kids had their teammate friends and I had my band buddies and I still love my band family. The casts of the productions I’ve been in are just the same, they’re great people who help make great experiences even better. I love having the arts in my life, the just feel right when I’m involved with them, I can’t imagine life without them.” This will be Levi’s CCT debut, so please come and support Levi and his love for the arts by watching him in this summer’s CCT production of GODSPELL at the Cardinal Theatre August 1st and 2nd at 7:30pm and August 3rd at 2:00pm!
