MEET THE MAKER - Beverly Holmes-Wright @ STITCHING FOR THE SOUL We love Bevs beautiful, colourful work and are very pleased she signed up for all our markets. She says shes been interested in crafts from a young age and has been stitching and creating things for over 20 years. Bev actually started working life as a qualified nurse, then 16 years as a community worker, She started her business on a part-time basis a few years ago, after doing a degree in Creative Practice and Textiles. The name Stitching for the Soul came about because Bev says stitching makes her happy and is an integral part of her life....she also admits to being partial to a bit of soul music too! She uses only the highest quality fabrics and threads and each of her wonderful pieces is meticulously created using a variety of free machine embroidery, appliqué and delicate stitched patterns, Bev says the largest part of her work involves planning aesthetic colour schemes and composition so that each creation is harmonious and balanced!
