MEET YOUR FARMER DAY COMING UP The public is invited to a “Meet Your Farmer Day” on Friday, Feb. 28 at Olivia Park Elementary School, 200 108th St. SE in Everett from 6 to 8 p.m. This first annual winter gathering is organized by and featuring local farmers to connect with residents for the season and beyond. CSA farms, as well as beef, cheese and other producers from Snohomish, Skagit, Island, and Whatcom counties are welcome to attend. Free for the public. Participating farms currently include Skipley Farm, Caruso Farms, Shambala Farm and Nursery, Chinook Farms, SongCroft Naturals, and the Sno-Isle Permaculture Network. The event is also a fundraiser for Farmer Frog, a school garden-to-market to low-income family program meant to get people active in local agriculture.
