MEG prices rise in Asia MEG prices in Asia climbed on Wednesday. Price gains were prompted by a rise in feedstock ethylene rates and firmer polyester co-feedstock PTA values. CFR China prices were assessed up at the USD 1090/mt levels, a rise of USD 10/mt from Tuesday. In the domestic markets, prices of MEG were assessed higher at the Yuan 8060/mt levels. Feedstock ethylene prices on Wednesday were assessed at the USD 1255/mt CFR North East Asia levels while prices were at the USD 1355/mt CFR South East Asia levels, up USD 5/mt on the day.
