MEMORIAL FUNDRAISER-A SOJOURN IN AMERICA This story of one little girls journey to America has now become an intimate portrait of underprivileged children in Liberia and those whose lives are forever shaped by it. This is Tracy’s story. Little Tracy Soe left her home in Liberia at the height of the Liberian Civil War and journeyed to America. The reason for her journey will not be defined until she lost her mother. At age 3, little Tracy was whisked away to neighboring Ivory Coast to escape the Liberian Civil War by her parents. 15 years later she came to America to join her mom Alice Ghennyennoh Soe. However, what she didn’t know is “man proposes but God disposes.” Just when everything looked promising; Mom Alice Ghennyennoh Soe was called home to rest by the Almighty Father on February 2, 2013 at a local hospital in Providence, RI. Tracy was distraught by the news and since then, it will all change for her. Months later, Tracy found herself in Liberia breaking ground for a 13 classrooms elementary/junior & senior high school to continue her mom’s dream. Today, that project is on the verge of completion. Join Miss Tracy Soe on Saturday, March 14, 2015 as she officially launch the ‘Alice Ghennyennoh Memorial Foundation’ to commemorate her mom’s passing. It’s a fundraiser, little-Miss queen contest and a banquet on 475 Smith Street, RI 02908. Admission: $20 (Eat/drink all you can) Patron $50 Call Ms Tracy Soe at 401-359-6754 for reservations and details.
