MEMORIAL IN HONOR OF DEAN BARKER MERCED, CA - Dean Barker was remembered today by his family, friends and even some strangers who were motivated to come and pay tribute to a life cut short by senseless violence. Dean Barker was remembered by two of his sons as they got up and thanked people for the out pouring of support their families have received. The Dos Palos honor guard was also there and paid their cities respects to a man they called A great Officer. Dean Allen Barker December 27, 1955-January 5, 2015 Deans life was tragically taken from us early in the morning on Jan. 5, 2015. He was 59 years old. Dean was born in Oakland Ca. on December 27, 1955. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. As one of Jehovahs Witnesses, he spent much of his time helping others learn about the Bible, as well as caring for his taxi customers and potential new friends. He was loved by his numerous friends and family members. Surviving family include his best friend and devoted wife Gloria, his 4 sons, David and his son (Daniel), Michael and wife Leticia, Timothy and wife Sao and their 2 children (Tyler, and Shayla) , and Joshua, 3 Stepchildren Junie, Erica and their daughters (Anjelica, and Alicia) Vickie and her 2 daughters (Lil Holly and Jackie), and Holly and her son (David), And great-grandchildren (Isabel, and Raelena), and his siblings, Kenneth, Kathy, Don, Lorainne, Alma, Steve, Tommy Sr., Kris, Connie, Gary, Alicia, Leanne, and Jessica, and too many nieces and nephews to count. Deans goals in life were to always give honor and glory to his God Jehovah to which it is agreed that he was a shining example to follow. There will be two Memorial services in the hope that everyone who would like to pay their respects will be given the opportunity. Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehova Witnesses located at 2135 E. Olive Ave. in Merced Ca. -
