MEN OF GOD VS. OTHER CELEBRITIES Red carpets for the movie stars, standing ovation for great politicians, accolades for the footballers, thumb ups for the human rights campaigners and so on..... How about the Preachers/Men of God? Bound for hellfire, backsliders, rubbing shoulders with Politicians etc The reverse is the case when we ascribe praises to other so-called stars with grave questionable characters. Pull down acute cancer is what can aptly describe our state now. We go to churches nearly every Sunday to worship and praise God. Our ministers admonish and encourage us through the Bible to live up to the standard of God and even pray for us. How do some people repay them? By publishing lies upon lies about Men of God who will be doomed in hellfire or still in a perpetual compromising state. Christians! Christians!!Christians!!! Why are we divided in our own house? Why do we rejoice when we hear some partial truths about some men of God? Why do we spread news all over the social media as if prestigious awards await us? Take a clue from the people from other religions, how many times have you seen them disparaging their leaders or pass insulting remarks over the social media? My heart bleeds each time I see so-called Christians rejoicing over the shortcomings of these leaders. First, they are men/women before being called of God. They are still human beings with all the emotions running in their systems. Have we no more compassion and love for our leaders? Will Jesus Christ be happy to witness all the rancour in our midst? Truly, the Bible says in the last days many shall depart from the faith but how many times have we fasted and prayed for our neighbours talk less of our spiritual leaders. I rarely see on any social media where some Christians praise or encourage others to pray for our spiritual leaders. I am not talking about Our General Overseer or your general Overseer I am talking about praying for all our Christian leaders irrespective of their denominations that God should reveal His minds to them and strengthen them. Today is A young woman reveals this..... Tomorrow will be An herbalist reveals that...... I dont care to know if these stories are true or false but my main concern is Are we praying for them out of pure love? I never read in the Bible where someone rose up to reveal that Apostle Peter is bound to be doomed in hellfire or Apostle Paul will be judged forever for challenging Peter. Apart from the book of Revelation in the Bible, why are we going about seeking other minor revelations about this person or that person? The BIBLE IS ENOUGH for us to get to heaven and to really know who is serving God or not? Some have brought swift judgement upon themselves by their untamed tongues. Beloved, if we cant tolerate our loved ones being ridiculed in the public then, we must desist from ridiculing our spiritual leaders irrespective of their denominations for whatever reasons. They are not above the law and corrections can be meted out through proper channels. A word is enough!
