The company is headquartered in Dubai with offices in many areas in Africa including Kenya. We are therefore looking to fill the position of MEP Engineer in our Somalia operations. Job Purpose/Summary The MEP Engineer is responsible for provide services in Mechanical, electrical and plumbing Engineering. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Identify problems, pose plausible solutions and implement those solutions to achieve objectives of the project. QC Engineer Specialist in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing capturing the documentation of tests, inspections and procedures. Perform Quality Control management for Mechanical, Electrical and or Plumbing disciplines. Quality Control inspections and tests. Complete and execute Daily Report documentation of work inspected and tests performed. Must be literate in software packages. Candidates must have 5 years of field experience with ICC certificate, and/or college degree. Develop best practices and maintenance management measures including the review and update of standards on a routine basis Conduct engineering and feasibility and economic studies and prepares reports on finding Review plans and specifications for constructability and program adherence Generate and compile statistical information necessary for budgeting of facilities, equipment and manpower Review shop drawings and other contractor submittals for compliance with construction documents Complete assignments in a complete and timely manner as required by the project manager or direct supervisor Oversee and manage the design, installation, construction, operation and maintenance of the following; a) Water supply system b) Sewerage system c) Fire suppression system d) Electrical cables and wiring e) Generators and power distribution f) Electrical distribution system Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in MEP Engineering or Industry standard qualifications. Should have 4 - 8 years, preferably in the construction industry and post conflict areas. Required Skills Knowledge of applicable building codes and safety laws. Work requires math skills, special relationship abilities, and the ability to understand engineering and construction data. Working knowledge of CAD tools. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. Skill in applying engineering principles and procedures.
