MERCED COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT ROLL OUT AND ANTI-DRUG EVENT A fun and free event for the whole family! Saturday, April 12, 2014 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Hilmar Covenant Church 20056 American Avenue Hilmar, California This event will showcase the department’s 1973 UH-1H, the Vietnam-era chopper commonly known as Huey. Also offered for public inspection will be the Lenco Bearcat, a tactical armored vehicle used by SWAT officers during emergency situations, along with motorcycles, the SWAT robot and boats used by the Search and Rescue dive team as well as other department crime fighting equipment. K-9 unit handlers will show the public demonstrations by the specially trained dogs that deputies use to fight crime. Free prizes donated by the community will be raffled off every hour. A free BBQ Hot Dog lunch will be served!
