MESSAGE #164: LIGHTS…CAMERA…ACTION!!! Why have we become a society of actors? We act one way in front of this person, and another way in front of those people, and yet we even have another personality around that group! Some of us, wont help others or be a part of something unless the light will shine on you! We dont have to boast, announce, be prideful, or expect accolades for what we do for others. In fact, there are numerous scriptures to back that up; for example in Psalm 12:3: The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things. So whatever you do, whatever you give, give from your heart and expect nothing in return. Favor with our Heavenly Father is the ultimate reward. There are even some of us who wont be involved in a project or event unless we are the star, the main speaker, the headliner, the soloist, or the main attraction. Its ok to be in the background sometime. Its ok to be a backup singer, some of the greatest singers of all times, got their start that way. Its ok to be a precursor to the main speaker. You never know who you might bless w/your presence, with your voice, with your speech, or with your spirit. The Lord wants us to be of service to others, HE tells us so in scriptures such as Matthew 25:21: His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord. We dont have to be actors and portray different characters depending on who our audience is! You see whether or not you choose to be holy and sanctified on Wed and Sun or in front of Deacon So and So, Pastor Righteous, or First Lady Sharp Hat; and then be the life of the party, the club closer, or the drunkest skunk in the room, on Friday and Saturday in front of your crew, your homies, or your crowd, it really doesnt matter! Do you know why? Because God already knows you! HE saw you hung over. HE saw you lusting in church. HE even heard your evil thoughts. But not to worry, you see God already knows how messed up each and everyone of us is. Thats what makes HIS love for us so amazing! There is none like HIM. No one else who loves us unconditionally the way that HE does. So regardless of how broken we are, how many times we mess up and fail HIM, how many different personalities, faces, and acts that we have, HE loves us just the same! I dont know about yall but a love that strong, that amazing, blows me away and I dont want to do anything but strive to please HIM daily! Oh, you see Im not perfect, so I know that I will disappoint HIM again, but I also know that HE will forgive me because HE loves me that much!!! # NO ACTS!!! # WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET!!! # IM AN IMPERFECT SINNER LOVED BY A PERFECT GOD!!! # HIS LOVE HIS REAL # I LOVE HIM WITH ALL THAT I AM!!!
