MESSAGE FROM IVEC 2015 Dear Colleagues, We are pleased to announce that the Sixteenth International Vacuum Electronics Conference (IVEC 2015) will be held on 27-29 April 2015 in Beijing, China. As a city integrating old cultural traditions and modern civilization, Beijing will attract you by its long history, venerable culture, ancient architecture and all kinds of delicious foods. Visitors from around the world come to Beijing to visit the renowned Great Wall and the most splendid Forbidden City，and experience other cultural heritages as well as new beautiful sceneries. With technical co-sponsorship from the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS), the conference will provide a forum for scientists and engineers from around the globe to present the latest developments in vacuum electronics technology at frequencies ranging from the UHF to THz frequency bands. IVEC was originally created in 2000 by merging the U.S. Power Tubes Conferences and the European Space Agency TWTA Workshops. Now a fully international conference, IVEC is held every other year in USA, and in Europe and Asia alternately every fourth year. After the successful meeting in Paris, France in 2013 and Monterey, USA in 2012 and 2014,IVEC 2015 will return to Asia to the wonderful city of Beijing.
